Joel A. Thompson - Owner
Manager/Architect/Designer/Sr. Programmer

Joel has worked in software development since 1989, ranging from Manager and Architect to Developer. Joel understands product development from a customer-centric, as well as "hands-on" developer perspective. His strengths include managing people and projects, architecting and designing systems, as well as hands on programming.

Joel started his career at Oracle as a System Administrator and quickly moved into software development, where he became a lead architect of Oracle software. He was promoted into Management, and lead a group of 13 developers in the Server Technologies group. After leaving Oracle in 1997, he became a consultant and worked with companies like American Express, Celera Corp, Verizon, Lawrence Livermore Labs and the State of California - Currently he is with EBay as a Sr Programmer, and key contributor to their Kernel Core Services.

He has contributed in all areas of software development, ranging from Sr Developer to Architect and Lead Programmer. Joel has worked mostly in Oracle RDBMS technology {plsql,sql, design, VLDB, Datawarehouse, OLTP}, Java/J2EE, C/C++ and Windows & UNIX based systems.

He has personally developed dozens of Enterprise Systems, on systems that have scaled to reach 250Million requests a day. He is almost always involved with all phases of development: Analysis, Design, Development, QA and Deployment/Maintenance. Joel believes in open systems, code reuse, design patterns, and project lifecycles.

Isaac Inkumsah
Senior Programmer, Project Manager and Architect

Isaac Inkumsah, principal architect and software engineer, has extensive industry experience in server side application architecture, engineering, integration and deployment, banking, finance, semiconductor and POS technologies. Responsible for server side loader architecture at KLA-Tencor Corporation. His tenure at KT provided significant experience in document management (document control) and the digitization of technical content and the creation of appropriate tool set's for data analysis. Responsible for the design and architecture of several financial systems including loan processing, insurance rating, and internal audit and accounting software for clients such as Bank of America (then Nations Bank of Maryland), T. Rowe Price and Associates, Maryland Casualty, AARP etc. Mr. Inkumsah also designed the onboard POS systems for Amtrak. Mr. Inkumsah has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a Masters Degree in Information Systems Technology from the George Washington University. Designed a claims management and billing software package while at GWU. Mr. Inkumsah has a passion for the subject of document management and this effort represents a culmination of over 15 years of industry experience in various verticals that provide considerable leverage in this subject matter. His most recent projects include serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Seabridge Software where he was instrumental in the design and architecture of a world class Customer Retention System. Josephine Thompson, Planner - AICP
GIS System Designer, Implementer, Administrator

Josephine (Josie) Thompson, AICP, has over 10 years of experience in urban design, environmental planning and geographic analysis. Areas of expertise include training in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Position Satellite (GPS). Her work, as project manager, includes project planning and implementation, site, analysis and environmental conservation. She brings a specific knowledge of how to best use geographic information systems and analysis in the planning process. Josie was born and lives in San Francisco and is a 4th generation Californian who is very concerned about planning, architecture and conservation. For nine years, she has worked as a planning professional in Northern California and has focused on how information can be spatially organized, managed and analyzed to promote better land stewardship for both the public and private sector. She has a Masters of Regional Planning from Cornell University and a BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley. Her hobbies include mountain biking, tennis, speaking Italian and travel. [contractor]
